Phil Keaggy and Muriel Anderson

Guitarist Muriel Anderson returns for her annual appearance at the Shannon Center on January 26th, and as always, she has a very special evening in store. This year she is bringing guitar legend Phil Keaggy with her to share the evening in what will be an unforgettable night of great music and guitar playing.

Phil Keaggy is perhaps one of the most admired guitarists in music today. His fans range from those who aspire just to be able to play Keaggy’s mistakes, to professional musicians who have been strongly influenced by his style. And in between are those who don’t play guitar, yet find solace in his beautifully penned lyrics and memorable melodies. Phil’s solo career has spanned more than 40 years, and has included over 60 solo albums, both vocal and instrumental, 8 releases with his band, Glass Harp, as well as numerous duets and trio albums. One of the most sought after studio guitarists, Phil also continues to sell out concerts all over the United States, with his ever-changing style, ranging from rock-and-roll to fully orchestrated instrumental compositions.

Widely respected as one of the world’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, Muriel Anderson is the first woman to have won the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship. She is host of the renowned “Muriel Anderson’s ALL STAR GUITAR NIGHT®” and founder of the Music for Life Alliance charity. Muriel Anderson has released eight CD’s, four DVD’s and guitar books published by Hal Leonard, Mel Bay, and Zen-On Japan. Her music can be heard in Woody Allen’s film “Vicky Cristina Barcelona.” and her “Heartstrings” recording accompanied the astronauts on the space shuttle Discovery. Touring in the USA and internationally year round, Muriel’s obvious joy of music and facility across musical genres is revered by guitarists and audiences worldwide.
